kookaburra sits in the old gum treeeee

no. it doesn’t. but i stand below a sycamore tree. this is my favourite tree. they are basically like mosaic art in nature. without the smashing of old plates or glasses. awesome.

these two are almost exactly the same. it’s called art, okaaaay?

requisite close up angle-ey shot : syc3  (A.K.A. ‘detail’ for those who REALLY understand art)

and now i treat you to a shot from above. so you can feel like you’re god of the trees. or tall. whatever you please.

IT’S ART: syc4

democratic canadian

is it illegal to take pictures of people`s license plates? I sure as hell hope not, because I simply couldn’t resist the following pictures.

I’m not sure what to think about someone that is this deeply devoted to the politics of a country they don’t live in.  Maybe it’s something we should all do more, or at least be more aware… but I am making assumptions that this person IS aware. Maybe they just like the license plate? Maybe they are blindly following? Maybe they`re BRILLIANT.

Who cares? This was a neat thing to see.

walking yields neat shots

perhaps I’ve realized that this site will be a place for me to post my random thoughts and mostly my pictures.

I’ve been walking more lately… trying to ingest more fresh air, trying to take productive and healthy breaks from studying instead of just creeping around on facebook.  (side note, i wonder how long it will take for facebook addiction to become part of the D.S.M.?)

Anyway, I was on my way to the library and found this cute little house that still had easter decorations up.

I really like when houses have children in them, and they decorate for each and every holiday. It reminds me of when I was a kindergarten teacher’s assistant and we’d be so very thankful when a season was upon us; grateful for the unending craft options that would soon become available to us.

this kind of inspires me to decorate my house more for holidays… unfortunately, apathy usually takes over.

my neighbourhood watch-cat

i was on my way up to an appointment, and on the way found a cute little chair on the front lawn of a beautiful old house, with beautiful old trees. I took some pictures, trying to capture on an angle that others hadn’t before:

chair 1          chair 2           chair 3

then i heard the sound of a purring cat… it got closer and kind of sounded like it was growling!! :|

cat 1 it inspected my offering  cat 2 and looked at me as if to say, are you f***ing kidding me?

sooo off i went.

i found some graffitti that was quite ugly, but looked beautiful in the sunset

grafitti 1 it looked much prettier up close grafitti 2

so this isn’t that interesting, but i liked the pictures I took, so i figured it deserved some bandwith… i might continue to do this, cuz I like taking random pictures, and don’t know if they get appreciated in the abyss that is facebook.

we’ll see.

I was so sad.  But then I realized how beautiful it was, and instead of rescuing the poor soul, I documented it in pictures…
