Little Bites with Bigwood

A little bit about Bigwood

I previously started this blog to be about food, to do restaurant reviews because a lot of what I notice has to do with food.  This is from my intro page before I changed it:

Noticing the looks on diners’ face as I walk by a restaurant, commenting on specials boards outside little cafes, calculating the price of a meal while dining at a friend’s house, analyzing each and every move of servers while I’m at any restaurant but my own… well… even including my own;  these actions characterize my daily interaction with food, and food-related activities. It doesn’t matter how broke or busy I am, I will always make time to go out or stay in for a nosh, a nibble, a gulp or a sip.  I welcome you to my chronicling of these little bites…

I have changed this blog recently, because I noticed that I’ve been noticing more than just food-related bits.  I notice the expressions on the faces of statues, patterns in the garbage that people throw out, beautiful buds on new spring trees.  Little bits of creative vision sometimes infiltrate my sight, and I capture these visions either with my point-and-shoot camera, or through a memory that I will later write. These visions that I notice have helped to connect me to my surroundings in a more intimate way.

I also quit my job as a server, so I’m trying really hard to think less about these sort of things because I feel like I’ve been ignoring my other thoughts and visions, and missing out on the type of beautiful relationship I know I can have with my environment.

So again, I welcome you to my chronicling of these little bits….
